Douglas Cowley is a senior technology and operations leader with over 22 years of international experience spanning enterprise applications, cloud transformations, and managed IT services. He has a proven track record of aligning complex technology programs with measurable business outcomes, enabling organizations to modernize legacy environments, carry out secure SAP migrations, and drive global portfolio adoption across highly regulated industries.

Previously, Douglas served as Head of Cloud and Portfolio Services at NTT DATA Inc., where he shaped the strategic direction, operational governance, and expansion of cloud services across the Middle East and Africa (MEA). In this role, he led the development of multi-cloud and hybrid offerings, introduced new platforms to support enterprise workloads, and advanced FinOps practices as a focus area to optimize cloud economics and performance.

His career also includes senior leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Dimension Data (now part of NTT Ltd.), where he was responsible for enterprise technology operations and service delivery across diverse markets.

Douglas has successfully delivered large-scale SAP, cloud, and hybrid transformation programs for clients across industries such as transportation, consumer goods, financial services, healthcare, and insurance. He has built and led high-performing teams across South Africa, India, Singapore, and the broader MEA region, consistently driving modernization with operational discipline.

Outside of work, Douglas is a proud father of two sons. He maintains an active lifestyle through CrossFit, enjoys boating with his family, and is a passionate field hockey player. When it's time to recharge, he turns to gardening, a pursuit that keeps him grounded, creative, and connected.
